I do, I was probably affected more by my Mother-in-law passing then my own Mom. Not that I didn't love my Mom but, I probably got to know my In-Laws quite well since we were around my Wife's parents more than Mine. My Father in law is still around at 81 and is a great guy!!

Well, I am getting married this coming Sunday...so 6 days!  But I've been around my future inlaws plenty.  I think the biggest change will be if I have kids with my husband.  Overall, my inlaws are great people.  I recognize we have some differences, nothing major.  Mainly I would say I was brought up a little more PC than their family.  But Im the girl, in the south the girl is often raised to follow the mannor conduct more so than the boy.  Considering some of my hesitations I only hope that if we do have kids, I get a girl.  I'm not willing to say that my boy is allowed to be rude or have less rules because of their sex LOL  Will avoid most of that drama by not having a boy.  Time will tell   :bunny:

I did when they were alive. I learned a lot from my mother-in-law - she was a wise old lady. I still miss her.

Most people complain about their in-laws but I have nothing but amazing things to say about mine.  I couldn't ask for a better set of 2nd parents than mine.  They have been unbelievable kind and generous to me.

I get along with them a lot better than outlaws.  We are all pretty much focused on doing what is best for the grandchildren and we communicate well and often.

Congrats!

When I first married, we got a long great. However, it seems that no matter what I do, my MIL thinks I'm not so great. Instead of worrying about it, I just do what is best for my family.
