I haven't heard of Google being hacked, or there being any problems. I just tried a few searches and it is working fine for me. I can't imagine what could be happening to have that occur for you, hmmm. Maybe a virus?

You probably have been clicking the I feel lucky button or have that setting turned on. This setting will take you to the first web site in the search. Recheck your settings, especially the display results, go to web pages in stead of list search results.

I was lying in bed the other night, looking up at the stars, and thinking, "Where in the heck is my roof?"

Google Is a very easy Search to use. Fusion Cash Has it's own web search toolbar for those that use IE or Firefox web browser for those who are interested in earning some more cash.

I don't know if it's a virus or if there is some other label that fits but I do know that my husband has, in the past, managed to get it and it changes your search and is very difficult to change back.  If I remember correctly, System Restore didn't work and I ended up doing a full restore.

I suggest doing a search on "Google Redirect Virus" - try to use a different browser from Firefox or IE.  Don't know if Chrome is impacted by this virus.  If it's the one I've gotten in the past, typically the redirect occurs on the first click, but if you hit the back button to the original search and try the link a second time - you get to the correct link.  The virus tends to impact Firefox and IE the most.

I know there are utilities people have developed to wipe out the virus.  You might want to try to get a copy of Malawarebytes - they may have this virus included in their suite (it's a free virus checker).

Good luck - I know this particular virus is an annoying one.

I have actually heard in the past few days that Google has changed their internal settings that they are actually looking at where individuals normally travel through the web and profile you on that aspect. So when you do a search it is individualized to you as a customer. This is also being looked at by BIG BROTHER, FCC to see if it has legal standing. This maybe what you are encountering. Just a word of advise to all, YAHOO is having some deep financial problems and doing major layoff's, 12000 nationwide. I don't doubt that they will be in Bankruptcy here before long.

I haven't heard of anything of the sort. But have you tried clearing your
browser cache/history, cookies etc. Sometimes cookies may be redirecting you
Or you may have picked up a virus, so do a full Virus-scan after clearing your history.

That happened to me a few weeks ago.  When I searched it would hijack and take me to another search engine one I remembered was called "ask the crew."  Can't remember the other one.  One of my antispy/malware programs wasn't picking it up the other was picking it up but it wasn't getting rid of it.  I downloaded all this stuff and finally stopped the browser hijack but I was still having problems.  It was a rootkit.  I went to the forum of my antivirus programs for help and they told me how to get rid of it.  It took a while but it's finally gone.
