Oatmeal.  I loved Cream of Wheat when I was a kid but don't like it now.

I like oatmeal. I just found out that the dry cereal companies put "chemical garbage" in them. Good thing I found out**

I like oatmeal. I just found out that the dry cereal companies put "chemical garbage" in them. Good thing I found out**

Wise choice.  Almost all processed foods have "chemical garbage" in them.  It's best to buy single ingredient foods and cook them yourself, cheaper too.  I like to know what's in my food.

I'm not a cereal fan.  Even the cheap stuff, with the "chemical garbage" in it is expensive, the good, natural stuff is worse.  Not to mention I just don't like cereal.  I will occasionally pop some popcorn (dry, unseasoned) and eat it for cereal.  That's actually how popcorn got discovered.  Our colonial ancestor women were looking for a cereal option and discovered popcorn.

I've also been known to soak some raw oatmeal and raisins in milk and eat it, for a snack, or eat homemade oatmeal raisin cookies for breakfast on the go.
