House by rent by owner
« on: March 27, 2012, 03:58:00 pm »
I am getting ready to move from this downtown apartment out to a more country and less traffic community. I do not want to move into another apartment, duplex but a house, with a least one bedroom two would be great, and better if it is one by owner versus a real estate or corporation. Problem is without driving around and looking for the rental signs I am trying to do it on line but seems a lot of the by owners don't post pictures. Usually that is a bad thing, they don't want to let you see just how bad the home or neighborhood is. Any other suggestions would be helpful.

You may want to try your local real estate offices.  Sometimes they will know of some rentals.  Hope you find your place real soon.  Good luck.

We used PadMapper when we were moving. It was helpful to be able to see the rentals on a map, plus the Google overlay was good in using Google Street View to get an idea of the neighborhood.

I never heard of padmapper, but thanks, I will check it out. Once I get to an area we are looking into, I think I will go to the local Realestate and check out if they have rentals. Thanks FusionCash Members

it is better to rent from an individual, and a lot of homeowners don't advertise their rentals,   there is only a sign in the front yard, so its best to drive around and look
