minerals for gray hair?
« on: March 26, 2012, 10:48:33 am »
Does anyone know anything about whether or not minerals will help with preventing gray hairs or not.  Some swear by it on-line, others say the stats prove none of it.  Any personal experience out there???

The time at which a person's hair grays is determined primarily by genetics. Iron ingestion is known to make hair darken, but unless you are anemic, do not take supplemental iron. Regular vitamin and mineral supplements are generally considered healthy but are unlikely to keep your hair from graying. There is a cheaper option, however, L'Oreal being my favorite.

I don't think minerals will help. You can use color

i just get my husband to dye mine for me, he does a great job cutting it too. i would not pay anybody to mess with my hair, so for a lot of years he has been doing it. save money, time, and can watch tv while getting it done lol :) yes, he was terrified the first time , thought he would mess it up. but if you arent to picking let them learn and you will be so happy, not only will your hair look great, you will spend time with your spouse. something a lot of people dont do anymore. :)

I'm glad you mentioned this because it's so true. I save so much money by having my husband relax and cut my hair. He does a wonderful job and my hair is very long and healthy. Nice to know I'm not the only one who let's their husband cut their hair for them  ;D

ot me, there is no way i will let him cut mine, not that i have long hair, but keep it fairly short. I do cut his, I have since we have been married . Soon be 19 years. I used to cut my childrens hair. And then my grandsons until he got snotty about it. I thin men should have short hair.
