Owl Burrowing
« on: March 23, 2012, 06:45:22 am »
I live in Fort Myers, Florida, which isn't far from Cape Coral, Florida.
Owls burrow at a certain time of the year.
This is that time.
I had dinner with someone from Virginia.
He said that owls burrow in Virginia too.
Does anybody know where else they burrow?
Any interesting owl stories?

I do not run into too many owls but i do remember dissecting one of those owl pellets with the mouse bones.

I had never heard of the Burrowing Owl. Search "burrowing owl" and you will find habitat locations and all sorts of tidbits including that it is endangered in some areas.
