Thanks for the link lightstar240
I registered already and I hope that they won't call to bother me anymore. ;D

No prob....doesn't necessarily get rid of everyone, but it at least gets rid of most of them.

Get a virtual number like from jConnect (free version) or iNumbr.

They're free and come with voicemail where they email them to you.

This way you won't get calls you don't want and you can screen them or simply have them leave their messages in your voicemail.

its annoying to say the least but sometimes when i'm not in a horrible mood i kinda feel bad for them, they are just trying to do their job. its their bosses we should be cursing out.  i think thats one of the worst jobs to have, having people hang up on you and curse you out all day long. if you really try and notice most of them sound pretty miserable.  i dont think i could ever do that job. :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:

i can't stand telemarketers, but then again they are just doing their jobs.  After I put my # on the do not call list, they stopped calling, mostly.

I feel bad for them having to do a job where everyone is annoyed and doesn't appreciate them.

They are easily avoidable, just say "no thank you" and hang up. But the best solution is have a Caller ID and if you don't know the name/number then let your answering machine record the call.

I still get a few calls from time to time, and depending on what mood I'm in, I either hang up or act like a total idiot to the point where they just say "I'll call back later"...and they don't. LOL. Fortunately, the only telemarketers I USUALLY get are the ones that call and hang up just to see if you're home. Annoying, but they get rid of themselves for you. ;D

I mean they have to do what they have to do. Companies are always looking for better ways to communicate to the public, and unfortunately phones are one way to do that. So while I don't particularly enjoy it, it seems like it's a good idea.

Well I think everyone needs to make a buck, although they are pretty annoying sometimes. I probably wouldn't mind them as much if they had things to offer that I actually wanted.
