were I live I see girls on the streets in bikini tops, some that don't cover much, and nobody says anything about it, so I don't see why a sports bra would be inappropriate.

I would have to say it depends on if it LOOKS like a sports bra. Some are designed very well and dont' really appear that inappropriate.

I guess it depends. I hate to say "body type" matters, but it does. I am very athletic, and run a TON (already logged over 600 miles this year). I personally would never run around in a sports bra. To me, I just feel very uncomfortable. I guess for those with zero body fat...

Anyway. Same reason I won't wear a bikini

aside from aesthetics, if you are running long distance you are gonna want to take your shirt off at one point. Since you are a woman you can't just take off your shirt (at least not in this country) so a sports bra is reasonable.

I guess I am a little more modest than that, plus back in the day when I did run, I always used my shirt to wipe the sweat.

yeah, some of the sports bras don't even look like sports bras. If a sports bra looks like a regular bra, I definitly wouldn't wear it because I would feel uncomfortable...mine are racer backs designed for SUPERIOR support, for running specifically, cover a lot...my fiance said people would think I was weird, but I completely disagree and am glad all of you agree with me as well.
