Me and my husband just booked our second trip to Las Vegas. We went last May, and we loved it! Believe it or not, the temps there were not that bad. It was hot, don't get me wrong...but there's NO humidity whatesoever, so you can go out in 90 degree weather and walk around without even breaking a sweat. We are going again this year at the same time. It's a great place to visit, but not with kids. If you are looking for an all-around family vacation, I would recommend Disney. Been going there for 20 years and it never gets old.

My vacations are going to anime conventions throughout the year. I attend (most of them regularly) Ichibancon, Katsucon, Tekkoshocon, Anime Mid-Atlantic, Otakon, Nekocon, and Anime USA. Hopefully we will be going to T-mode in Maryland this year, if I can get the time off. I hesitated slightly on calling it a vacation because there is some work involved in a few of them. At most of the cons in VA, where I live, I set up an art table and sell my artwork. If I don't, I just go around the convention, taking pictures of the various costumes, and attending the panels, events and concerts. I do like to travel. I've never been in a plane before though, I'm scared to death of them, but I can't say for sure whether or not someone will trick me onto one someday. Doubt it, but never say never. Its been a long time since I've gone on a traditional vacation, the last time I can remember is when I was ten years old and I went with my mother, father, aunt, and cousin to Hershey Park in PA and to see my great grandmother who lived somewhere in Pittsburgh. I guess you can call the trips I went to go visit my relatives in NJ, "vacations", but were they really? Or were they just mandatory family time with cousins you don't get along with?  I've never visited Hawaii, Europe, Fiji, (insert exotic locale here) or got to do any of that stuff you associate with cruises and vacation packages.  :cat:

I am planning a trip to Switzerland, my mother has always wanted to go so I thought I would take her before she can't make the trip.

Check out Thailand!  I'm here now and l let me tell you: other than the ticket to get here, the price is right.  I'm staying in a 17-story hotel with a gym, sauna, whirpool, steam room and restaurant for about $15 a day, including all taxes.  You can also hit the beach about an hour from here (Pattaya) in a similarly priced hotel.  Thailand is good for relaxing, shopping, tourist attractions or partying.

My husband and I are house hunting this year so I seriously doubt we will go any where. I think we will spend the time working on finding/settling in a house.
