You could do the classic pork roast with sauerkraut in the crock pot.

I most always cook my pork roast in the slow cooker all night and then make pulled pork barbeque.  I usually make my own sauce but the last time I was rushed so I used bottled Sweet Baby Rays .... not as good as my own   ;D  but very tasty  !!!!

I have a great recipe where I merinade it the night before with mayo, bourbon, brown sugar, a little bit of bbq sauce, onion, and I slow cook it or pop it in the oven.  It's very yummy.

keep it simple. you cant go wrong with just a little salt, pepper, and garlic. then just toss that sucker in the oven.

I agree with the previous post, but if you like a more tasty pork roast make a rub with your favorite spices. I like to put paprika, brown sugar, chili powder, salt, pepper rub it leave sit over night in the fridge and cook it on the BBQ.  Only light one burner and put the roast on the opposite side top shelf, if you're adventures try smoking it.  It will take 4-8 hrs depending on the size but it is well worth it.  Oh and don't forget to have a few pints while cooking, if you don't its not real bbq!

I love cooking roasts. Like to add seasonings like garlic powder and sage, Herbmare or Mrs Dash. Put water in bottom of roaster and add the roast. Season it and bake at 350 degrees for 2 to 3 hours depending on size. Check it for doneness so you don't over-cook and dry it out. Always is so tender and good. Halfway through baking time I add carrots and potatoes and celery and lots of onions.   :star: :star: :star:

I like to slit my roast and put slivers of garlic into it,  you can tie it to help it keep its shape, but that's not necessary.  Rub with a mix of salt and pepper, and then put it in the oven, at a high temp first to "sear" the outside, then drop it down to abt. 325 and cook until it's just done inside--so it doesn't dry out.  Let it sit for at least 5 minutes before cutting into it after you cook it, and it will stay moist and delish!
