I'm from Kentucky, was so shocked at the weather.  Go for the news teams for being 100% right.  It was so fast, and though several people died, we were lucky in the grand scheme of things.  It had the potential to really affect us even more.

My heart goes out to all those victims of the tornadoes.  I agree that it could have been so much worse.  Modern technologies have improved how much faster these storms can be detected and therefore give much faster warnings.  I hope that we can have even more changes to save more lives.

It is so scary that so many people had their lives destroyed so quickly. I wish all of the family and friends of the victims the best and will continue praying for all affected.

And remeber it was just not Kentuky and Indiana it was over a large part of the interior midwest from Kansas all the way to the East Coast.  The sadness that these folks are going through is indeed tragic but I am afraid it is just the start of a season that will be long and harsh.

It's sad to see just how bad it can get sometimes.  I live in NE Alabama and we got hit pretty hard this last April.  Hoping for a much calmer spring this year.  We just finally are starting to get things back to normal for most of the communities here.  At least we all learned who our neighbors were very quickly.  Hope y'all have the great sense of community we did when the disasters hit...it made a great difference...Roll Tide
