Urban Studies
« on: February 09, 2009, 09:30:10 am »
No one knows what that is right? Well it is my major in college. I have been trying to find a place to start work as soon as i graduate but it is hard. I want to work near Portland Oregon but that too is difficult. I don't know anyone who has an in at any of the places I am applying to so it is even more difficult. I dont care that i live two hours away. I am willing to go for an interview if it is offered. I really want to work in Transportation Planning but if I have to work in regular planning then that to is ok!

I would love to hear more about that field. You say you'd prefer Transportation Planning...would that be like figuring out new road systems or something?

I didnt at first either when I started classes. It is about city planning and learning about the history of the city and other things that deal with the city in general.

That is one thing that a transportation planner does. It is a dream of mine to do planning with public transportation to expand, better, and make a better rep for. I also want to work on link and rail projects!

Well it is my major in college.
What is your minor?

My minor is applied computing.. I figured it made sense to have some sort of computer stuff attached to my degree LOL :)

In the South Puget Sound they passed the funding for our link rail but people are not happy. :/ they had to cut a bunch from the prop but a least we can connect parts of the Sound :/

Ever considered political science as a minor?

Transportation planning w/ political knowledge.

Think about it.
