There is no evidence attributing changes of events to "prayer", "faith" or, "hope."

Just because you can't prove it doesn't make it false. 

A lack of evidence either means that there isn't any, that none can be found or, that none has been presented.  An unsupported claim, (such as the efficacy of "prayer"), is a dubious one at best.

Lives have been saved because of their faith from praying. 

There is no evidence to support such a claim, which makes it a dubious one at best.
 

It may only be psychological, or it may be from the spirit.  Neither you or I can say which is responsible.

Substantiating evidence to support an attribution to a supernatural source is lacking.  The onus is upon those who make such dubious attributions to either support their claim with evidence or with 'faith'.  If 'faith' is the basis for those attributions, a dubious claim has been made.

Such "comfort" or well-wishing doesn't alter the circumstances 'prayed' for however.

Since I'm not selectively logical, (I apply it even to my own perceptions, as well as to those of others), I don't consider it to be so much as a 'put down' that others may.  Looking at it from an alternate point of view, if 'praying' doesn't help, maybe other more effective means will be sought.

Not quite.  If the premise of an argumentum ad ignorantiam is an appeal to ignorance" (where "ignorance" stands for: "lack of evidence to the contrary"), my contention that the assertion responded to lacks evidence and is therefore false does not confer 'truth' upon the claim contended.  While it is technically correct that a lack of evidence does not itself falsify a claim, that lack does emphasis that the claim has no evidential basis, (which is what I normally reply when specious claims are made so, good catch there).

Furthermore, your posting in this thread can be nothing more than a hateful attempt at the OP (even if you didn't reply to them directly). 

Now you're simply attributing things to my posts which are not explicitly or implicitly inherent in them.  These are instead, your perceptions, (which, as the one who posted concerning the ineffectiveness of 'prayer', I can contend are entirely subjective and not based in objective evidence).

I am not the most proud man, but even I wouldn't kick someone when they were down, and I sure as hell wouldn't spit on them if they begged for a drink of water. 

Since there was neither a literal nor, figurative "kick" or 'spitting on' the OP, such characterizations are not accurate.  What was posted instead was the direct implication that some solution other than 'prayer' be sought as being more effective, (and without knowing the specifics which were not posted, only a general suggestion could be made).

Why don't you go find any sick puppies or kittens to kick around if you feel so insecure to have to prove yourself.

The assumption that I'm "insecure" is merely an unsubstantiated 'flame' which lacks supporting evidence of it's veracity.  I happen to like puppies and kittens and am unlikely to consider kicking either around.  While you're erecting strawmen to knock over, consider cease beating your wife too.

I had just watched that stupid 'Blades' video with the excessive profanity and obnoxious and self righteous approach.  I do believe that something about that video is contagious to me, to my disappointment.  A use of a classic loaded question, bravo.

I'd tend to agree that the Blades video seemed to be intentionally stereotypical in a few regards.  As to loaded questions; they can be used instructively insofar as practice in refuting the elemental components which they contain.

In regards to the topic of this thread; a hypothetically-"loaded" question occurs to me.  If xtian 'prayer' is considered to be "helpful", why wouldn't a satanic ritual to answer the request, (let's say), be as effective?

I haven't been to church either since I reach my twenties. Catholic Dad & Mom decided I was old enough to make a choice on what religion or not, I wanted to pursue. If they hadn't force me & my siblings to go to church every sun at the ungodly hrs of 6am, I may have followed the faith. So, it's their own fault by forcing us to go to church none of the six kids are religious. I drew the line when I was told i had to go to church & I went then got punished b/c I was wearing a shorts & t shirt. I told my mom, I don't think god would care what I wore as long as I was there. Slowly, I began questioning the stuff they talk about christ,religion, faith, prayer....they never could come up with a good answer. I get back at my mom for the years of torture dragging us kids to church on sunday. I mean, even god took a break on sunday. Why can't we?lol just to annoy them when some1 at the hospital get saved b4 mom could say, thank -g.... I break in & say thank the dr,nurses,hospital staff & all involved in saving this patient's life. For once give the humans that credit for, going to school learning a craft or skill to save the dying patient. I don't think it's right to give credit to a deity that may or may not be real. God, help's those who, help themselves, well if that's the case why in hell would i need god? It reminds me of the do nothing republicans today. Do nothing but take the credit for it when it turns out to be successful. If I have to chose between a deity or medical science to save, my life...hands down, I'm picking the doctor!LOL! Keep it up Falcon9 I love the way you just stir such strong emotions b/c you question their faith.
