You don't buy a car without test driving it first.

I think it is a matter of preference on the part of the couple.

I have been with my boyfriend for 9 years ... living together for 8 of those years.

We do not have any children and do not plan to have any.

If you are in a committed relationship then it is not wrong. Marriage is tough enough, don't get into it if you don't like the "test drive" to begin with.

As a Christian I know it is controversial for me to say, but I don't think premarital relations are wrong IF IT IS IN A COMMITTED RELATIONSHIP. I know I am opening up all sorts of arguments, but it is my opinion that there is a difference is sleeping around with no intention of commitment and testing the waters. I think you have to see if you are compatible with the other person and if you can handle living together.

I think it's their business, but they should be aware of the consequences and if/when the girl gets pregnant both people should face the consequences. Like many things, it's their business and their consequences.

I lived with my husband before we were married 31 years ago and that was my choice... I think everybody should have a choice.
