Do you think Bobby Brown should be allowed to Whitneys funeral?
« on: February 16, 2012, 05:24:36 am »
Personely I dont think so. It was the beginning of the end with Whitney Houston when she hooked up with Bobby, I believe anyways  :dontknow:...I know some will probably say "but they share a child together"...I still say he should stay away but that's just my thoughts, what are yours?

Out of respect for his daughter I think he should attend. She still needs his support. She is falling apart right now and Bobby Brown is Bobby Brown and we can't change that. I love Whitney Houston and wish she was still here but she is not. I hope Bobby attends the funeral?

I don't know what kind of support Bobby was giving Bobby Christina before Whitney's death or even if he was visiting her, but she needs him now. If he don't attend people will have a lot of negative stuff to say and if he does attend people will have a lot of negative stuff to say. So this is really a case of Damn if you do and Damn if you don't.

I think he needs to attend to support their daughter.  I think he was the beginning of the end for Whitney too, but addicts are addicts are addicts.  He is still her Daddy, and he is what she has left, so she does need him to lean on.  Too bad it was such a dysfuntional dynamic.

I think if he goes it will be all for the wrong reasons. From what I understand he was'nt really there for his daughter to begin with so why now ? She has other family she can lean on. Bobby Brown is now saying his daughter is doing much better, how can that be when she just lost her Mom a few days ago. I think he's a nut and he should FAKE morn from afar just my thoughts but I get what you peeps are saying too like one said it's a damned if you do and a damned if you dont situation  :dontknow:

Yeah, about not being there for his daughter before now I am not sure what role he played in her life, I don't really think this is a place for my next comment but here it is. I put my daughter through school and her dad did nothing. When she graduated from high school her dad shows up with his new wife taking pictures and all as if he deserved to be there.

What ever the situation may be I think the parent/parents should be there for the child, and that parent should judge themselves accordingly, he knows if he should be there just like my daughter's dad thought he deserved to be at her graduation, I didn't.

We will see if he attends...

Yes I think he should attend.  Whitney is gone now and the child only have one parent left and if he was not there for her in the past, but is here for her now in her time of need.  When somone dies people need to put all things aside and come together to honor their beloved mother, ex-wife or whomever.  Bobby and Whitney was not a good role model for their daugther but they both loved her and she should be able to lean on her father at this time.

Hi Maxine, My daughter is 34 now and her "father" has yet to set eyes on her. I believe in my heart that my daughter would'nt be the happy productive women that she is now had he been in her life. Sometimes I think one should leave well enogh alone. ANY man can be a "father" but it takes a SPECIAL man to be a " Daddy"  if he goes I hope it's truly for his daughters support and for no other reason.

I think Bobby Brown ruined Whitney essentially, but he should be allowed to the funeral to support his daughter and mourn with her.  They can  :peace:honor her memory by not adding any more ugliness or disgraceful behavior.

I agree with your statement, but I should point out that if he has not been there for her and decides to do it now it better be for the right reasons.  I come from divorced parents, my dad is American my mom Latinamerican, when my dad left mom for another women, she packed up and move back Home with my brother and me on tow, my Father was not there for us, no phone calls, no birthday cards (and we share the same birthday), just child support which he started to cut little by little until at age 14, when nothing more came.  I like to point out he has no other Biological children, and then one day when I was about 25 years old, I got a letter telling how much he loved me, how much he missed me and that he always though of us.  Yeah right, and on his letter he trashed my mom, yeah mom might not be the perfect woman but she is mom and that they he hammer the last nail on his coffin.  it turns out that he was trying to see if I could help him with $$ and that is the only reason he tried to come back on my life, trashing my mom and telling me how beautiful my new baby was.

To little too late.

I think he should attend for Bobbi's sake. I believe a parent needs to leave the past behind to help our children in the present & future.
My mother attended my fathers funeral (divorced parents) & she was there for all the kids.

He should be allowed to be there and he should attend. Regardless of the family's feelings, he was a great part of Whitney's life. He was her husband for many years and the father of her only child. I understand that he was a bad influence on her most of their marriage but she truly loved him and at this point that is all that matters. The past is the past and it is about him being able to show his final last respects to his former wife and be there to support their daughter. I cannot imagine a funeral for Whitney without Bobby there!!
