I am more of a saver not a spender. one of the easiset ways for me to save money is to save my change. when I do spend I use cash or check and roundup to the nearest dollarfor what ever I buy. Then i save the change- most months I deposit 20-30 dollars of change into my account!

I save my money for a while till i see something that is a great deal then i might buy it!! But i save all the change i get everyday and at the end of the month i go to my bank a deposit it into my savings account this way i always have something saved to the side for a rainy day

90% of my income (both here and elsewhere) goes toward family expenses or the occasional indulgence. Gotta treat yourself once in a while.

At the end of each month, I put aside the other 10% in a savings account earmarked for retirement or emergencies. I do my best not to touch it. It's nice to see that saving account balance grow every month. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. I only recently started doing this. Wish I had begun when I was a young lad, but back then I was living for today with no thought for tomorrow. Ah, the follies of youth.

I have been trying to put ten to twenty dollars away every payday. Which is not much but it sure adds up. And if something comes up I use the money but have to pay it back the following week with interest. Now I am use to doing htis it is much easier to save.

I save everything.  Always been that way since I was a little kid.  It paid off for me better before the economy went down, but it still helps.

One thing I'd like to point out though is if you are using your money on things you absolutely need (food, clothes, rent, etc) then that's not exactly being a spender (at least in my opinion).  It's only when it's something that extra and you could live without it that you should be worried.

Originally I was going to put my earnings straight into the savings and pretend like I never even had it, but I spent it   But of course they were for things that were much needed. I never spend on things I don't really need. I definitely would have to agree with you, demaina
