Can't put picture on profile

I tried to download a picture of me for the forum and add some additional info on me so people know can see who i am and learn about me. Can anyone give me some advise on how to do it. Thanks

To add a photo: Select PROFILE from the links above in the green bar, then on the left hand tool bar select Forum Profile Information. From there you can upload a photo to your profile.

This isn't Facebook though, there's not really a spot to share info about yourself.
