I don't care either way. To me its really no ones business.  They don't have anything to say when it is a man and women, so to me its not up to the goverments and others it should be up to those who are getting married

From what I can discern from that jumbled grammar, you seem to be concerned that if some group, (in this instance, gays), is allowed to marry that the potential for litigation may arise if some churches/priests/pastors/rabbis refuse to perform the ceremonies and that such litigation, (if it occurs), somehow strips the 'rights' or something undefined from the rest of the population?  If so, how so?

i belive if they want the same rights for leagal reasons then they should have them but like i said if they want to be together more power to them. No one is asking that you change your mind-blinded religious beliefs regarding marriage.  You can easily go on believing whatever you wish whether gays can get married or not.  What others seem to be implicitly asking is that religious adherents forgo applying their superstitious beliefs to others.  Doubtless you cannot manage that one, given your prior declarations, (and continued omission of how such marriages would strip anything  - including your fundamentalist beliefs - away from others).

*Bingo* and concisely to the point. I wonder what level of 'outrage' those against such marriages would have if others objected to them getting married on the basis of specious precepts and restrictions imposed by the various beliefs of others?  For some reason, 'not too well' is the first thing that springs to mind, (for example; " ... sorry Jane, you can't marry Richard because we don't believe that gold-digging ho-bags ought to marry for money ...").

Is that some kind of 'religious rule'?

The Bible says ...

Conversely, Richard Dawkins said, "The meme for blind faith secures its own perpetuation by the simple unconscious
expedient of discouraging rational inquiry.”

Okay I believe in the Bible so if you so I do not support gay marriage in a form whatsoever!

Then it would be the equivalent of not supporting xtian fundie marriages in any form whatsoever on the basis that any ensuing offspring could lower the national intelligence average?

Any man who believes the bible cannot touch a woman who's going thru her period. The punishment is death. Anyone who believes the bible knows that a parent must kill their children if they talk back to them. Let's support those laws ontop of banning gay marriage. Sounds legit.

Seriously though, you don't have to like homosexuals or gay marriage. But treating them unequally is bigoted and stupid because it won't cause any harm to you at all.

And what is wrong with us wanting to get married?  Is it really so bad that those of us that love the same sex want to be able to legally get married to that person.  Why is the US so afraid of this, it isn't like we are trying to take over the world or trying to turn everyone into gays and lesbians and what not.  I mean, honestly, what is everyone afraid of.  Doesn't everyone deserve equal rights!!!  I    :female:!

I do not support it personally, however, I do believe everyone has a right to make their own choice concerning who they want to be with.

Found this humorous-

Urban Dictionary's current term of "marriage"

"What straight couples have legally and commonly don't want, and what gay couples don't have legally and commonly want."

Along those lines, someone once said, "why shouldn't gay couples suffer as much as any other married couple?
