I stumbled onto this thread under the suggestions header so unless it got moved, it seems to be that if suggestions was the intended location it did get started in the right place. Some of us have different ways of defining what would be appropriate in the various headings, but then I also just left a post on payments that was discussing approval or disapproval of gay marriage, now that one probably should have gone in the off topic area, I suspect that it could have been started in the wrong place in order to get credit for the number of posts, but it really does start to clog things up and makes it worse for new people to legitimately locate the useful information they are seeking when they first start. Again it would be nice if there were a way to clean up some of the misdirected posts, to archive things that are either out of date or no longer relevant, I am sure it is tying up a lot of space, and then perhaps periodic reminders that it is more helpful to try and keep posts and new threads in the right location for a greater benefit to all. For members who have been here and been paid out more than 3 or 6 times for their postings, it might be beneficial to institute a bit of a take away system, 3 warnings that you have posted to the wrong thread, mostly for non topic things in major topic areas and then void all the posts prior and make them start again, if the party reaches 6 then obviously they do not respect the forum process and should no longer be permitted to participate at all, clearing the way for those who do respect the process. Does that seem fair? Maybe ,maybe not, but it is food for thought. Admins and monitors have enough to do without having to baby sit adults who should be self controlled.

YES!! Thank you TOMAS7, for GETTING why this topic was posted in the first place, especially your (following) comments:

 And I LOVE this idea you had:

.....all this what is turning out to be blah blah blah crap

Just YOUR  opinion, dear

...I have a cousin who is living with ALS and suffering :( wouldnt it be nice if she only had "what went where" " this doesent belong there" to worry about......NO she is living and wondering if she will EVER see a tomorrow ..........this is what I mean when I say DONT SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF....

Guess what? I have a family member with extremely serious health issues, too. That doesn't mean I still don't think that people should try to do things properly-WHATEVER or WHEREVER it happens to be.

.......cant we ALLLLLLLL just get along here???????

People CAN have differing opinions and STILL get along. That ends, however, when some of the people feel the need to start making personal attacks, resorting to name-calling, etc.

And to EVERYBODY who says "This is a stupid thing to worry about, because it isn't a big deal if things are posted in the wrong place"-
Okay, it doesn't matter to you. And since it doesn't matter to you, therefore, it shouldn't matter to anyone?
People feel and think differently about things....and everyone is allowed to voice their opinion.

NO-ONE is bad-mouthing YOU, or belittling YOU, or saying that IT'S STUPID for you to think it's no big deal; It's YOUR OPINION.

So, likewise, NO-ONE should be saying that IT'S STUPID to feel/think the way they do, to people that it DOES ANNOY, or be bad-mouthing or belittling THEM. THAT is THEIR OPINION.

I have a few questions for those whose opinion is that it doesn't matter what is posted where; why bother having forums, subforums and thread subjects in FC at all?  What if libraries, dictionaries or interent search engines were disorganised in similar ways?
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

This was part of what the OP said in their posted suggestion, also.

"What if libraries, dictionaries or internet search engines were disorganised in similar ways?"
Then everyone could start disregarding proper spelling too, and since that seems to be the popular trend anymore, I imagine this would work well for some.....
Until the first time THEIR search for something doesn't quite work for them

Great point, and I think honestly, that's all most of us are saying.(At least that's what I was saying before the rude reactions began)

People should try to post in the right place, but if they don't--you know what?Life WILL go on for me!Yes,it's hard to believe but I won't be losing any sleep over it.

Thankfully, the people who run FC are not as uptight as some of you.

Agreed.

...why all the name calling and everything else people are saying
Not on this side of the discussion.

....getting bent out of shape for?
Because of the lack of respect for other opinions AND personal attacks, name-calling, etc.

some like yourself will drag this on...
Well, I'm not having this discussion all by myself. YOU have participated also....MORE than once I might add. (Nice that you could single me out to chastise though )

......do I not get an opinion here..well thats mine and i'm sticking to it.
YES you certainly ARE entitled to an opinion....and you SHOULD stick to it.

Thankfully, the people who run FC are not as uptight as some of you.

Well, there you go then. Let's ridicule, bad-mouth and/or belittle anyone with a difference of opinion.

Wait... I  thought I placed it in the suggestion discussion board. Isn't it placed there? It is shown on my screen that it's in the suggestion discussion board...

I feel that you are angry because of the various comments you make, the tone, and the attitude you have. Not to mention your big bolded username. If you aren't angry, that's cool. I'm glad you aren't angry. I'm not angry and I won't be. I didn't intend to anger anyone from the start, nor misspell anyone's username.

This thread wasn't showing on my computer as being in the "Suggestions" discussion boards until right around the last edit I did on my last post.  I was going to edit it to say "thanks" but changed my mind, I thought that by doing so, it would seem that I made you have your topic be moved...and I could care less where anything gets posted.  I know I checked it before I posted anything and it was in the "Off Topic" section.  I also know that I rarely even look at the "Suggestions" threads so if it had been there, I wouldn't have seen it at all.  Perhaps my browser is messed up...can't say for sure, I haven't had any other browser problems.

I can say for sure, if it had been in the "Suggestions" discussion board--it wouldn't have come across as offensive like it did in the "Off Topic" to me.   The "Suggestions" discussion board exists for people's suggestions.  If the mistake was made on my end, then I apologize.  If it was on yours, God knows and can deal with it.

I have never "bolded" my screen username before and I've never chided anyone about their mis-spellings.  I'm not the world's greatest speller myself.  Again, I feel if someone is going suggest that others learn where to place their posts, then I believe I have every right to suggest my username be correctly spelled...what's the problem with that?  (*and what's the point of having nicely, organized forum topics anyway if alot of the words are mis-spelled?)--That question was for you.  Again, personally...I don't care what gets posted where, how it's spelled and who posted it.

IMO, the internet has enough "robotic" forums that are so "organized" that they are boring.  FC is the ONE forum that lets everyone just be themselves and have fun...and get paid.  I can tell alot about a person from where they post, their "spelling", the topics they start and the words they post.  All people are different and I enjoy seeing what makes them "them".  The misspelled words, improper grammar, incorrectly placed topics---they don't bother me at all.

I think it's funny how people can read my posts and get all bent out of shape out of things that I supposedly wrote that I didn't.  I guess when some people read things, they only see what they want to.

I'm not angry, there's no reason to be.  Since this topic is in the "Suggestions" board & I don't spend much time there, I'll be going in just a sec...

This has ALWAYS BEEN in the suggestions board, since the day leung1245 started it.

FYI- Once topics are started in one board, you can't move them to a different board.
