Counting my blessings tonight!

At this time, I am counting my blessings and I am thankful to have a house tonight. My 5 lbs of chicken that I was bbqing tonight went up in flames. The fire extinguisher didn't work. Some of the flames came close to the pergola above my deck. I thought we might be calling 911. I was smart enough to not open the bbq lid, to turn off the gas and had flour at the ready. Now to buy GOOD, working fire extinguishers! I know how to use a fire extinguisher- I was trained and have been in emergency situations where I've had to use them before.

Now to figure out what to make instead.

Wow....you are definitely blessed.  How very scary.  So glad a tragedy didn't occur and you and your loved ones are safe.
