What will you do if your source of income was gone?

This is a loaded question in my opinion.

Are we talking 100% of income and NO chance of even unemployment income? There are soooo many scenarios.

There are steps I would take... Everything would be prioritized of course. All non-essentials and savings contributions would of course stop first.

I really dont know what I would do, but as stated above suicide/murder is out of the question.
I guess Id do what many others have and will do, buckle down and do what it takes...I am a firm believer that God would never put or take you through more than you can handle!

I pray it never comes to that though!

I certainly wouldn't off myself.

I'd make sure my resume was current and start searching all the job postings I could find.  I'd take a part-time job or two until I was able to find something full-time again.  And I'd cut way back on non-essential expenditures, like going to shows or bars.

In this tough economy it definitely would be a terrible blow to loose my source of income. I would definitely get stressed about it, but between my husband and myself, with determination we would even seek out jobs that we never thought about doing in the past. Sticking to a budget would be the key factor to make it though each month.

geezzz.. not something i really wanted to think about.. but i guess if I would loose my income for any amount of time my only option would be to swallow my pride and live off the wife while I play Mr. MOM....  kinda funny actually.. we joke about it all the time.  She says she has the PERFECT apron for me to wear. lol

i am in that situation now and it sux. To survive ive been borrowing money from my dad and boy friend and takin some free lance work. its been very hard. i have 2 kids and im hopeing this fusion for cash thing is real. just to bring in a lil money.

It's in the news. The financial crisis brought about by both wife and husband loosing their jobs have caused families to reach their breaking point. One guy killed his entire family and then himself. Imaginig loosing your beautiful home- can't afford the mortgage, can't pay the kids tuition. I guess it was all too much for him. Rather than live a simplier life and struggle, this family who had everything chose not to go on living. Sadly though, it seems the husband made the decision all by himself.

I guess my husband and I would take in a tenant, sell food we grow in our garden, do odd jobs, and sell anything of value (not that we have much)!!!!
