Didja ever get the feelin' someone was watching you?

Ok this may not be the same as how you mean but, a few years back there was a guy who walked past my house every day at the same time I was leaving to go to work. and then 1 day I was coming out of a CVS near my house and there he was again. at the time I didnt even know it was him because I never really paid to much attention. BUT as I walked out of the store he smiled and then rambled off my plate number to my car which shocked me. I asked him how he knew my plate number and he told me that he has been watching me for the past year YIKES...anyways he wanted to tell me that he thought I was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen without makeup...(I dont like makeup)..he's been wanting to tell me that but never had the courage up to stop me and tell me...it turns out that he was the man walking by my house every day...we talked for a bit and he was a professer at a collage near by...after he told me that, I never seen him again but that was scary after I thought about it.

I know businesses have to watch for shoplifters and I have been watched. Sometimes I like to look around a lot and a few months ago I was trying to pick out a pair of shoes and couldn't make up my mind. I realized I was being watched so I made a little game out of it just to make sure. After I got my shoes, I went to the greeting cards and here he came, then to make-up and there he was again. He must have been new and didn't know I worked there.

So, I just needed to say...I really DO have someone just STARING at me , and it happens a few times EVERY single day......

Every time I look in the mirror, there's this creepy person, staring right at me... She won't go away, what should I do?

Ok i have been walking down the street or something and felt like someone was watching me,it's really weird because you don't know  wh ether or not someone is watching you.But i don't like it escpecially when i am buy myself so i usually try to have somebody walk with me at night mostly.

Yes, I sure have. Used to happen a lot more often than it does now. I used to get the most awkward feeling, but wouldn't be too weirded out at times to check and see if anyone really was. The worst is when you're alone, and you get that "burning" uneasy feeling. Makes me get paranoid.

I had that feeling more than once in my life. Sometimes, I think I see someone looking at me out of the corner of my eye. When I look at them more closely, they don't seem to be any more.

WHen I go shopping with my kids, I KNOW people are watching because they freely pass their comments our way.

one isn't a shoplifter if one is sitting down at a table reading a book or newspaper. the guards and managers seem to have a 'paranoid' aura about them.

Security guards are paid to watch people and know what is going on at all times.  Smart managers & business owners do the same, as do some employees depending on where they work---they observe others' habits & preferences so they can "upsell" for bigger sales/commissions.  (Some employees also watch customers to see what they are buying so they know what to re-stock right away before the item runs out.) I've even had the local police tell me that those people that make a BIG deal out of being watched should be watched even more closely because eleven times out of ten they are up to something.  Our library has a security guard that watches people sitting down reading a book or newspaper because alot of people like to sneak and rip pages out of books & magazines that they want, or steal the coupons and then there's those that get their thrills by tearing pages, inking up the pages and just defacing the libraries property.  If a security guard wasn't needed there...there wouldn't be one.  I've never had a problem with them keeping an eye on things, I'm glad they're there.

Oh yeah. well i've talked to my local authorities and they tell me that even police officers, security guards, and owners are subject to pyshological evalutations too and they're not above questioning too. So, these folks are just as potentially dangerous as the neighborhood stalker, thief, serial killer, and so on  .

Yeah, I've had the feeling before, especially going into a store wearing a backpack,
with some new security that's not familiar with you. I usually play along and have them leave their post just to watch
then call out to an employee in the store for assistance then establish an unnecessary conversation... lol
Then when I'm leaving I'll ask if all is well?
