Do you have suicidal thoughts?

I am manic depressive.  I have lived with it for the last 16 years.  I am unable to take medication because it makes it worse.  I have to wake up every morning and choose to not let it rule me and to go on with each day.  I am doing this without medication and find that most of the time I cope well.  In times of great stress it is harder for me to cope though.

Sure. I work as a stand up comedian. if I didn't from time to time I would not be very good at my job.  Everyone has them.  But it's very taboo to admit it.

i'd be lying if i said i never thought of it. but, i know that's not the answer. having a father who committed suicide is an over all sad situation for all. anyone who's depressed to that point needs and deserves the help to get better.

Are you crazy??? No I do not have suicidal thoughts.  I have had some hard times in my life, but I beleive in God and he get me thur them, but never in a million years will I have such thoughts.  I will pray for you.

This is simple.  But it stuck with me for about ten years now....

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

I can't say I've had any, I appreciate life and accept the good as well as the bad.

Not at all.  I can't say that every day is a cakewalk, but if I had to choose between life and death, even at the worst times in my life I choose life.

Yeah really. Not everyone has that faith that God is going to get them through their tough time either. I've had suicidal thoughts before but ultimately I couldn't do it to my parents.

When you have people who love you, it is hard to think about death or suicide. Life may be unfair at times, but making the right choices and looking at the positive side may help.

I am not sure how to handle the thought of suicide.  If I should mention to a friend or anyone  those words they would say that I am sick.

No. I do not have suicidal thoughts, but sometimes i feel so bad i wish i were dead. i think the two are very different. wishing you were dead is different than wanting to kill yourself, in my opinion.

When I was in high school I gave a speech about suicide and asked everyone in the class to raise their hands if they had ever contemplated suicide and every single person in the class raised their hands. I know it can feel like you're the only person in the world who feels this way, but it's actually more common than never considering it.

taking myself out would be a hell of a lot easier than to continue living my life.... but i dont believe in suicide. i think many people think about it but it is a virtue to not do it... in my opinion if i suffer alot in my life and put up with it ill be rewarded eventually in the end.
