What you watch in the morning is pretty much what you find on all day long.

Yes, I like the news.  My husband and I watch Fox news everyday.  In my opinion Fox news is the only news channel that actually tells it like it is.  They do not sugar coat anything.  A lot of people do not fox,  but I would much rather hear the truth about what does on in our country.

There has been way too much on about Casey Anthony lately, and whenever I hear anything about her and that case I just get so angry.  :BangHead:

I don't get regular t.v.  I don't really miss anything on it.  I found that getting the news from the computer is usually faster that watching on t.v.  I do miss the morning routine with the t.v. news on and having my coffee, but watching the sunrise is so much more pleasant.

i don't like television news, but i like it in the form of articles,
websites, documentaries, etc. most news channels are so
BIASED in one way or another that i can't stand them.

bigedshult  Actually, I like the repeats b/c I'm usually doing multitasking things & miss it several times in 1 day. Over all, I can't stand today's news b/c it's quality, true worthy, real true accurate news no longer exist or is continuously degrading to getting worst! When news report news that is altered or change into an outright lie that's a crime. If media did these things in the past, the person would be laughed out of the news media rm & jobless. Also, no wonder why people are so anti news; when everyday you are fed lies & negative dark news. I don't recall any positive news & if any, they only show it once or twice. i believe if they regulate the "News" more sternly/strictly with ethical punishment w/the possibility of being fired or demoted;people learn to their job right. We want real & true news, not the bs  :bs: they are spooning us.

I view the news through Yahoo, the local newspaper and the local TV news broadcasts.  I think it is important to at least know a little about what is going on around the world, though I am usually more interested in the local happenings.  It is not always pretty.  It is still sad to see examples of man's inhumanity to man.  It is good to see examples of people stepping up to help out.

The TV news is so outrageously redundant. I don't know how the broadcasters do it; I would be bored out of my mind! I find the easiest, most enjoyable way to get my news is through the web. It's just as accurate and reliable as the TV.

I never watch the news. Most news are negative, unwholesome and trivial – most of what you can call “garbage” for the soul. Very rarely would you see anyone remain in a positive state of mind after watching it. Just switch to another channel or turn off that TV.

I like knowing what is going on in world and the news is a great way to find. But also hate seeing the samething time after time which why I watch the news once a day. Anything that I miss while watching the news that one time I can read it from internet or newspaper.

When I traveled in to the office for work, I used to watch a bit of the morning news headlines, then when I got home, I'd watch the evening news (national and local).  I agree that there was a lot of slanting on different networks and would try to find the station I thought at the time was the most neutral.  But like others have said, most reported a lot of negative news - usually the bad stuff, very little good stuff.

Since I started working from home (telecommuting) - I jump right into work without turning on the TV.  And after work, I typically exercise or run errands (as I no longer stop by stores on my way home from the office).  So I only catch the occasional national news once in a while (few times a month), and catch the local news a few times a week - mostly for the weather reports.

I found I'm much happier and stress-free since I stopped constantly watching the news.  I think there is a lot of truth to being constantly bombarded with all that negativity that it gets people stressed and depressed.  I also found when talking about some issues with friends who are constantly watching some of whatever is the current "hot" issue, it seems they lose perspective because they are too close to the issue.  When I hear it for the first time a few days later - I typically point out many of the "issues" really are not end-of-the-world show-stoppers that they seem to feel they are.  Once I get them to stop and step back, they realized the issues really were not as bad as they initially thought based on their constant news feeds.
