If the Presidential Election was held tomorrow, who would you vote for?

Given the choice as you put it and not knowing who will be running against Obama I would vote for anyone but Obama.  If I had my pick of everyone currently in the race to run it is a bit more difficult to decide on exactly which person, but I would want them to have an understanding of the economy and a thirst to reduce the size and scope of the federal government.

I agree totally.  I am hoping for some hope and change from This hope and change.  I don't to get in an argument with anyone because to each his own, but it is like for me Obama is the opposite president.  On every issue whatever I would choose to do, he does the opposite.  It is amazing how people can think so differently and both be sure they are right.

Well I agree he does not know what it is like to be poor.  In everything I have read about him he was never poor, so I don't know why you assume he knows what it is like to be poor.

The fact that he just spent two weeks basking in the sun of Hawaii and golfing on our dime just goes to show how concerned he is about poor people.  I lost count of how many vacations he has had while Americans try to pay for food.  An AP reporter calculated the amount of time he has spent on the golf course since he has been in office.  The total is 3 Months!!!

I know you will say that he works hard and deserves to relax.  Yes, but don't we all?  In my lifetime America has not had such hard times.  All presidents take vacations and leisure time, but during the economic hardships while people are hurting a compassionate president would avoid these expenses until things get better. 

And about helping the little guy.  Is the little guy better off now?

Although I voted for Obama in 2008, I feel if I had to vote tomorrow, I'd vote for Ron Paul. I completely agree with him bringing the troops back home all around the world and fixing our border problems.  We waste billions a year in places we don't need to be in.  The movie "Team America" hit the nail on the head.  We are the World Police...and most of the world hates us for it.  Although I don't feel Obama has done wonders, he is still doing a better job than Bush did.  At least Obama got our troops back home.  The main focus needs to be the economy, because it's awful.  There's very little opportunity for recent college grads.  We aren't making enough money to pay our bills.  The only cities with jobs are cities we can't afford to live in.  I don't think Gingrich, Romney, and especially Santorum have any touch of reality when it comes to that, unless they can prove me otherwise.

I actually think you are pretty close to the truth here (whether or not Obama's intentions are deliberately malicious or not as often these types of tyrants fall prey to the "for the good of all" thinking and assume their actions are good when they are actually not).  The problem is that you cannot convince this to liberals and most Obama supporters.  They are blinded by ideology and are used to being told how and what to think.  They don't even consider Mao and Stalin as bad people and some even honor and respect them.  They fail to realize what these type of people do after they exhaust the wealth of the industrious and finally when they do it is too late for them and all they can do is hope that the next time this happens the people will not be so foolishly blinded as they were.

I knew that "Abrupt" would comment (why is he such an Obama hater? -Chill on the hatorade dude).  Staunch republicans, interested in what is best for the country, can't even make a clear choice.  Romney and Obama represent the best chance for our country to move ahead. Romney's religion has the republicans searching for someone to beat him because of their conservative religious ties.  Santorum doesn't have the money to run a full campaign unless he gets Gingrich's money.  Nobody has checked his background out because they didn't believe he was a serious contender. Gingrich thinks he has a chance but the conservative's have a hard time with his spousal loyalty (how many divorces?). Perry still in the race...are you serious? Bachman backing out?  Duh.  Palin probably thinks she is still going to get in (lol).  I am divided between Obama and Romney and would probably vote for Obama if it came down to it...today.
