I don't have a smart phone, but my cell phone runs out pretty quickly. I've had it for about 2 years. It didn't always run out of batteries this fast.

You can find me on Youtube!

there is a trick to help your phone hold a charge longer, but if your having battery life issues this soon after you got it then it may be to late for this trick to work. before you use it for the fist time, Completely charge the battery to full(don't even take it off for a phone call and put it back) it has to charge for at least 6 hours. Then, after it's fully charged use the phone until the battery is dead or nearly dead then recharge back to full again(again do not remove the charger) until it's fully charged. The reason for doing it this way is because rechargeable batteries can create a memory position (like when you keep charging it everyday when the battery gets to 2/3rd or 1/2 battery life left.) So now the battery thinks it's dead when it reaches that spot in the battery life, and will shut off your phone(or anything else you  may use) that uses a rechargeable battery. this may sound crazy so search this on-line so see for your self.

I dunno, not really, ANY TIME I notice the battery isn't full I plug it in until it's 100% charged...and if I'm sleeping or plan on doing something for a long period of time (example: shower) I turn my phone on airplane mode to save energy...my fiance says this doesn't work, BUT I think it does...funny, one night I fell asleep without putting it on airplane mode and it had green battery and it was completely dead in the morning...another night, when the battery was on yellow, and I put it on airplane mode, the next morning it was still on yellow, didn't even drain down to the red....experiment proves I'M RIIIGHT  :bootyshake:

Use less widgets (on android) and put your phone on airplane mode/ be in better reception areas to maximize battery life. They are making strides in battery life performance contrary to what other people believe in this thread. Although it isn't the BEST solution, Motorola's DROID RAZR MAXX line has the biggest battery found in a phone and usually lasts people 2-5 days depending on their use. It isn't the best solution because instead of increasing efficiency they just made a bigger battery but it still is a very thin phone with a lot of power. I follow this stuff as a hobby and possibly soon for a living so trust me, I know what I'm talking about here!

My smartphone dies in a day. I deleted most of my apps and downloaded "JuiceDefender." It helps a little bit with the battery life.

The short answer is Yes!!!  Obvious using apps and the internet drains the battery but they need to find a way to overcome this issue and get more battery life out of the newer phones. Sometimes you just have to delete some of the stuff that you are not using.

Thanks this is very good advice I hope this works because I find myself charging my phone everyday at different stages of my battery life. I have read that you need to buy a extended battery to be able to have a better battery life. I really didn't want to spend more money on my phone so I will start using this trick.

I dont have a smartphone.  But I charge the battery about every other day.  Sometimes I can go 2 -3 days with moderate use before it dies.
