I use my credit card for almost all purchases because I get cash back on my purchases.  Always looking to save money anyway that I can.

I'm in for the rewards points and cashback option, so I heavily use credit card for most purchases. I use cash primarily when I cannot pay a different way for a purchase (i.e certain restaurants only allow cash).

When you make small purchases at the store which do you use, cash, credit or debit?   I most always use my credit card so I can get points.... I usually get about $100 back every 6 months or so if I use my credit card for all my purchases.
Just curious which credit card do you use?! Cuz the reward of mine seems so slow to get up there!!

I hardly ever have cash so I always use my debit card on small purchases & use my credit card for the bigger ones.

Cash for food, credit card for other stuff.
I only had a debit card until a couple month ago and finally made a credit card. I love getting points :)

If you are very good about completely paying off your credit cards on-time, then that is probably your best option; like you said, some cards will give bonuses like cash back rewards, miles / points for product vouchers, etc. However, knowing myself, I'm usually not consistent on making my payments on-time. Because of that, I tend to incur late charges and higher interest rates, so the amount that I'd get thru any rewards is usually more than offset by the penalties I end up paying. Thus I usually use my debit card instead; it still has the convenience of a card without having to worry about missing any payments. The only exceptions are using cash at a vending machine and cash at a bar I frequent (it is a cash-only bar).

That is why I use my paypal DEBIT card as credit and earn cash back on all of my purchases including but certainly not limited to paying bills !

I use cash all the time from small to moderate purchases made at the grocery stores and credit cards for more expensive items at dept or other specialty stores. I don’t really shop a lot when it's not necessary. This post have revealed “something” I haven’t noticed before with the habit of credit/debit card usage.

It REALLY depends on where you purchase and from what company. If it's online, I only purchase from name-brand or trust-worthy companies and I use my debit card. If it's on the streets and I don't know a store I would use cash because I don't want them to steal my card info or steal my card.

I don't have a credit card, and I will NEVER do because if you really need to borrow money to buy something then that's something you don't need or you shouldn't be spending money on at the money. Save up your money and then buy it!! If you really need to borrow, borrow a student loan or car loan or mortgage because those are NECESSITIES!! borrowing money for something like shoes or beauty spa trips is a waste!!

I rarely carry cash, so I almost always use by debit card to make purchases.

95% of the time I use a debit card, rarely have cash on hand and don't like to use credit cards unless necessary.
