Got my first smart phone

I'm already addicted and my favorite thing about it is I always have so many questions I come up with and if I don't feel like walking over the the computer and fooling around I wouldn't normally look it up and I might forget the question or something...with my phone I'm always researching things and I make my grocery list and have my calendar and calorie counter -- all so convenient --- in my comfy lounge chair ahhhhh not uncomfy computer chair.

I would love to have a smart phone, but I keep telling myself is it worth the data package. I know for like the first couple months I'll use data, because its new and I want to play with it. I just don't know if it will be worth paying the extra $30 after the first couple months. I wish the option for the basic $10 package was still available at verizon. I would be more inclined to buy it.

I realize that smart phones are convenient, but I can't bring myself to spend all that extra money per month for convenience. With my current plan, I am eligible to upgrade to a smart phone,  but then it would cost me at least an extra 40.00 a month, maybe more. And for some reason, you can't get an unlimited data plan with a smart phone, at least not from AT&T or Verizon.

I have the same issue. I love the conveniences of a smart phone but cannot as of yet justify a the added cost of a data plan. I have a lot to learn before I will before I will be purchasing a smartphone.

My current provider is verizon and I do not think they will give me the best deal but getting my husband to swicth is another think.

A smartphone is a great thing to have and so useful. I use is to set alarms to remind me of things i need to do and there are a lot of apps to help you stay organized too. Play around with your phone and get used to it and you'll love it.

Anyone familiar with consumer cellular? I am looking into getting a cell phone, perhaps a smart phone but one without a contract. So I am wondering if anyone has one or looked into it. Like can you get a smart phone and do a pay as you go?
