:crybaby2: I am poor anyway hahah!!! But honestly, I grow my own veggies, and have some fruit, and nut trees too, so I do save money on that.

We lost our farm and had to send all of our cows to auction. We still only made a 4th back of what we owe the bank for the loan. I lost my job and haven't been able to find another one. As a result of our lack of funds, my other half is being sent overseas. He says its the only way to make a steady income right now. The economy has put us on our knees in that we pray more often, we realize that what we have is enough, and we love each other more. It is both a blessing and a curse.

we have direct depost at my place of employment and I always put money into my savings but most of the time I have to get into it just to get by.  at this point, i don't have enough money to pay the bills.  I worry about loosing my house and having my utilities cut off.  I just have to have faith that things will be okay.  hence why i am trying to earn extra money. Another job is in the new future.

My husband just took a 20% pay cut after being laid off for a month. He's one of the lucky ones; at least he was able to find another job! My heart goes out to all those who have posted descriptions of their economic woes. I find it amazing that the foolish decisions of a relatively small number of powerful people have caused such massive suffering and destruction in this once-prosperous, strong nation.

:sad1: the economy sucks right now and the thought that we haven't hit bottom yet is really scary.  We cancelled our cable service and stopped eating out to try to save more money.

I am very worry about the situation. No good news around on the media... I am not working, just my boyfriend (thank God). We try to save evrything.. I been print groceries coupons ( Its help a lot )...We decided to disconected the cable bill , since we just watch the basic cable and network tv ( and even we haven't no cable anymore we still have like 70 channels for a few months) and we watch movies rentend from the Red Box ( just $1)... We have stoped to go out every week, just in special occasions and I have been cooking almost every day ( no more delivery )... You have to try to save in all the ways .... I have hope things gonna get better...
BE HAPPY...BELIEVE ;D

Being a stay at home mom and not earning an income in this though economy is extremely difficult on my household. I definitely have to watch how I spend my husband hard earned income. I certainly utilize coupons, monitor the sales papers, shop for freebies etc. Thanks to this site and similar ones, I can also acquire a few additional $. Every little will helps - it adds up.

the worst thing is how it has affected my children. when they ask for something that all their friends have and you know you cant afford it, its heartbreaking to not be able to give your kids basic luxuries.  its not about spoiling them , you just dont want them to be aware of your strug >:(gles

My family uses coupons more often now that food is more expensive in my area.  I don't drive as far as i use to (leisurely) due to saving money on gas.  I've been trying to get a job for a few months and still no luck (graduated college last December) :(
just bad timing i guess... hopefully the economy gets better soon.

Since the gas prices have gone down it has helped us a little bit.  We aren't eating out as much and are being very creative on our meals.  It has also helped that I am doing this to bring in a little extra money.

the economy really affects everybody and it's terrible.. i'll say that first thing that i learn is to think twice before spending my money to anything that is not necessary.....mortgage, car payment, insurance, and bills always are always on top of my list.
