Coaches and Sex Scandals
« on: December 14, 2011, 12:35:49 pm »
Someone said to me today, "if these kids don't like the way the coach treats them they say they're being abused"

I immediately took to defense, if in fact it is not true then it will come out but the fact is a lot of these kids may have recently found the courage knowing how many people are standing behind the victims in these other scandals. It just made me shake my head that this person could even think that let alone say it.

Its not just coaches, sex scandals reach everywhere.
And its not just the person in the position that is culpable.
There are many who set up to put someone in a scandal for blackmail.
All a side effect of parents not beating their children enough.

I have seen a few instances lately where people were actually coaching their children to say that the other parent had sexually molested them. Allegations like this can ruin a person's life and it's disgusting that a parent would tell their own child to say something like that. Cases such as these make it hard to take any accusations of molestation seriously, which is a serious problem.

It's a shame that coaches who have quite a bit of influence and control over kids would use their advantage to molest them.

I think the coaches should be ashamed of themselves. Parents trust these people to teach their kids sportsmanship and teamwork. To help them get ahead in life. And instead they are scarring these kids for life. Nobody is perfect, but molesting is going too far. :angry7:

There has always be cases of it happening but it hasn't been widely reported. There are also the fake allegations of the people making it up for some reason. There was an eight year girl here that accused her music teacher of molesting her and the man was arrested and lost his teaching license. It turns out the girl made it up simply because she wanted to switch to the school the rest of her friends went to.

when we have cases involving child molestation, if it is by a coach , a priest , or anyone. if it is proven, that person should be pu to death instantly.  same goes for murderers, and rapests.. they DONT deserve a second chance.. we as a society need to stop protecting the offender and start remembering the victims..
