Gifts under $5.00
« on: December 12, 2011, 09:14:59 am »
What is your favorite gift to give that is under $5.00.  For children I have found that bubbles are worth their weight in gold as far as the smiles they make.

Bubbles, yes totally make the list! We also get them a special orniment each year. Then their are the cheap gingerbread house kits, my kids love to decorate them. My husband likes to give them 2 dollar bills every year and My dad likes to give dollar coins! This year their are small angry birds stuffed animals my kids will love. If you get a box of crayons you can print you own coloring book pages online, and make a personal coloring book for eat kid that they will love. Bed Bath & Beyond had   space alarm clocks and light up fish tanks that my kids like. Also I have sites that I like to go to which you can get cheap nice gifts for everyone, not just kids. Also look for close out sales or something you can buy and then personalize.

You could get a lot of gifts at the 99 cents or $ tree stores too.

It is funny but one of the few gifts I remember from my childhood was a book.Find out what subject the child has an interest in and find that special book just for them for under $5.00 and you may change a life. :)

The Dollar Tree is my favorite store, especially when finding gifts for all my nieces and nephews.  My daughter loves to go there each year to find Christmas gifts for her classmates and teachers.

Crayons and coloring books are always a good choice for kids. They can be used over and over again. :bunny:

There are tons of good books you can get for adults and kids for around $5! Nothing wrong with a $5 gas card either, they come in handy when you least expect it...  8)

I like the dollar bins at Target. I always get funky socks and the little coloring books and stuff.

I stock up on coloring books, crayons, puzzles and books at the Dollar Tree. They make great stocking stuffers. I can always find socks, gloves and scarves for under $5. I look all year long for marked down sale items. I get gifts which normally cost $20 for $5
