My father was in WWII as was my father-in-law and several other relatives.  I cannot imagine what they experienced, and most of them never talked about it.  I salute those who died and all veterans!

We should always honor those who fight for our freedoms and our librties. It is hard to believe that Pearl Harbor happened seventy years ago. My mom was born in this era. Also, we sgould honor the family members of our armed forces members they also have it tough because their loved ones are away from them and they do not know ifthey will evedr see them again. :peace: :star:

I just watched a show about the 24 hours following the attack.  It was pretty interesting.  Just as a little piece of trivia....When President Roosevelt was going from the White House to the Capitol Building they were worried because he didn't have a bulletproof car.  They were only allowed to spend $750 for his car (that's not a misprint by the way).  A bulletproof car would have cost the government more than that but they didn't say how much more.  The car that Al Capone used that they had confiscated when they arrested him for tax evasion was bulletproof so they used it.....It was an interesting 2 hour show on the History Channel.
