Does the card come with See ID already printed on it, or did you write it on there? Regulations in some areas do not accept cards that have been altered in any way.It makes sense to me that showing an ID would solve the problem. Some people can be overly strick with rules and policies.

I wrote it  ::)

I use a machine in the post off to mail large packages and never talk to any one just use my debit card on those.

I wish I could use that here but this town is so very small I don't think they will ever have an auto machine lol When I go to the city to get groceries I end up going to their auto system when I want stamps or need to mail a package. So much easier! :wave:

When you write " See ID" on your card you are not signing a necessary contract with your bank, credit card or credit union. Although there have been many emails sent saying to use this method, legally you cannot use your card until it is signed. A lawyer told me this and I know several companies near where I live that have policies against taking any card that isn't signed for this reason. SIGN YOUR CARD otherwise this may happen to you again.

The only place it happens is this post office in this town, every where else will ask for my ID. :wave:

And the Postal Service is wondering why they are losing money.  I would much rather get a root canal than go and deal with our Post Office.  Our Post Master is an idiot.  I have lived in the same house for 16 years, but if my mail doesn't have my P.O. Box on it then he won't put in our box.  Although, I never have any trouble getting the junk mail addressed to just my physical address.
