I like colored lights on the tree, although we generally use whatever is cheapest. But the colored lights add more excitement to the tree, and go well with multicolored ornaments.

i'm definitely a fan of colored lights.
my tree is a colorful and fun, but eventually
i'd like to have a smaller second tree and decorate
it folksy/rustic/country and have white lights on it.
i love modern and vintage, so one day i'll have both  :P
[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

I like a variety of colors. They always look prettier to me. I have an aunt who favors strictly white lights, but this always looks a little plain when we're in the dark.

Do you have colored or white lights on your tree?  Which do you like the best?  To me, a tree has to have colored lights as that is what we have always had.  I think they are the pretiest.
Let me guess. Swagbucks?

I like to see colored lights on the outside of the decorated houses. For a tree, I have seen both styles. Either colored lights or white lights can be pretty on a tree. It's the sparkle that makes it look nice.

We don't have a tree up but if we did it would have multi colored lights.  That's the only way to go!

we use colored lights. Even when we didn't have a tree, we put them up around the ceiling in our living room. It felt cozy and festive!  :cat:

I like both.  I typically wrap a string of white lights as close to the trunk of the tree as possible - this gives the tree a nice inner "glow".  Then I put a string of colored lights on the outer end of the branches to give it some sparkly color.  After the ornaments are on, I add some strands of tinsel - just enough to hide gaps in the tree and reflect the light to make the tree all shimmery (but not so much tinsel that the tree looks like it's pure silver - need to see the green).
