Racism is still going strong & will continue.I don't think it will ever be eradicated. It's 21st century& we still can't get past color,ethnic backgrounds,race.People who can't rise above this ignorance,should know that u can't be racist against others.A white person who's racist against other cultures,races,b/c they aren't white should know that they themselves aren't white.People have been mixing &having interational marriages/coupling for years.U can't say you're a certain race or a pure anything.We are all mutts &like it or not we'll continue to mix.I recall reading about a Southern lady who was so proud of her pure white background.She pranced around w/this racist pride like it was a badge.When her parents passed,she was an only child, &would inherit a fortune.When she went to collect  she finds out that she's not the only 1 to benefit.She found out she had a faternal  twin sister &was separated after birth.The woman standing b4 her was a light skinned black woman.While she had the light brown straight hair, brown-gray eyes &a golden tan,her twin,had curly/wavy dark brown-black hair,brown-black eyes &a dark tanned
skin.Everything else was similar,same height,same age,same size,same b-day,same Mom & Dad.Her mom was infertal so her dad impregnated their negro maid.Surprise,they had twins one clearly looked like a white child the other was clearly black. His wife was happy to have a daughter but the black sister was taken way w/the mother somewhere faraway & paid off.This southern lady w/this racial pride couldn't believe this black women is her sister, much less her faternal twin! A blood test later confirmed the facts. She could not take the fact that there was negro blood running in her veins! She can't believe her own father tainted her pure white blood line by messing with the help! She was so disgusted that she took her own life. She would save her race by not passing the tainted genes on. Only 1 problem she didn't think of getting rid of her negro twin. Guess who got the entire inheritance? LoL! I can't understand why, fuss about what race we come from. Don't these racist folk know that we all came from a little black woman in Africa scientists dubbed EVE? Which means Eve is everyone's great,great,great,great.....& several greats Grandmother! Which means whatever color or race you come from, in the beginning, we all came from EVE. Which means we all are black & negro genetically. So racist people get over it!

I think they are referring to Mitochondrial Eve, born around 200,000 years ago, most likely in East Africa. Traces back an unbroken female line.
There's also Y-Chromosome Adam, but he's a much more recent ancestor.

Although nothing saying Biblical Eve wasn't black.


The story I have doubts on too, although it could have happened. (Doubtful about the killing herself part.)

My opinion is black people mostly there is an exception are raised to believe they have to have a certain swagger and also that being a successful business man is uncool in their race... I think if that would change it would helP alot... I def am a lil racist and guess that'd just how I feel... Black people are raised to believe white people are going to try to bring them down white people are raised to believe blacks are trouble and lazy... 70% of people in jail are black... And give blacks a bad name... Go out and be successful and that will put a end to the whole thing...

Sure there might be more whites in jail but blacks make up only 13% of the population... Per race and population 5% of the black male population are in jail while 1% of white male population are in jail lol don't try to manipulate numbers... Plus Ur right Obama is successful... He's also half black half white... Which doesn't really matter but if ur gonna use an example of him being successful to compare blacks I have to say that he is mixed which honestly I see no argument bc just bc one black man is sucrssful doesn't mean anything... All I'm sayin is and alot of black people know what I'm talking about... Growing up among the black people it is looked upon as uncool to stay in school and be successful... Anyone who thinks racism doesn't still exist is just ignorant.  Racism will be around forever.  Reverse racism is just as bad as racism and they fuel each other, therefore it probably will never end.

Me personally I am so not a racisit cause I hate everybody equally.  But in the most direct answer to the question yes it is alive and well all over the world and all the kings horses and all the kings men are not gonna fix this anytime soon.  But no major change has ever been started and finished in a day.

yes racism still exists and is everywhere amongst all races. The comment about blacks are raised the being successful is uncool and that they need to carry a "swagger" is ridiculous. Parents regardless of race want the best for their kids. They may make bad choices in life to drop out of school for other reasons. Maybe they feel it necessary to get a job and help provide for the family if they are in a single parent home and are struggling to make ends meet from month to month. They might fall into the peer pressures of their neighborhood. This is something that people from all races deal with.

Of course racism is still alive everywhere. I am from the South, Texas to be exact, and yes it MAY be more prevalent here than in the North, I am not sure. But I honestly think that is just a stereotype. Stuff like "White southerners must be hick racist rednecks" is still ignorant thinking. That being said, I have been called racist before. But people who know me, know that I look down on all losers who take American life for granted. I very much think there is a definite line in any race based on the way you act, treat others, and carry yourself. Maybe that causes others to judge me, but hey I think you should have respect for yourself and show that in public.

And on the black/white racism issue, it is much more common now (from my experiences) to see reverse discrimination, especially in the workplace. I HATE that businesses get tax breaks or have certain quotas to fill with their employee race status. If anyone can explain to me how that is fair, please enlighten me. I do not think checking the "white" box on an application should shoot you to the bottom of the applicant pool or knock you out of the running completely. I didn't even realize how much this actually happened until recently when many of my friends graduated from college and could not get jobs because businesses weren't looking to hire white people, especially white males. I am just going to stop now, I could vent about this for ages.
