HEY
« on: November 30, 2011, 03:50:51 pm »
Just curious how do you feel if someone knows you but call you "hey"!!
Do you think it's mean?! or it's alright with you?!

I have been called a lot of worse things in my life. But if they know you they should call you by name!

I figure they're probably like me; meaning at one time they probably knew my name but due to years of drinking and other forms of brain abuse, they've forgotten my name but don't wanna be rude.  So "hey" is probably better than nothing!  I often use the phrase "what's up dude?" or "how's it going?" to express the fact I am recognizing them without actually remembering their name!

Hey!?! I have been called worse...
I used to say hay is horses, not jacka**es like you.
I was lying in bed the other night, looking up at the stars, and thinking, "Where in the heck is my roof?"

If they acknowledge me I think it's good, If they say my name, that's better...

The first part of the post made me laugh, I like the way you put it.
