Christmas Rant......

Yes, that's right, I said Christmas!! Not winter holiday, not happy holiday....CHRISTMAS!!!!! Now, I'm very understanding about religious beliefs that have been here forever. Jewish people have Hannukah(sorry if its spelled wrong), some have Kwanza(again, sorry if spelled wrong), others have nothing. HOWEVER....be darned if I'm going to stop saying Merry Christmas just in case it may offend someone! Several times, I've said Merry Christmas to someone, to have them respond...Happy Hannukah!! I'm quite happy to smile and carry on! I went to school with a girl whose religious faith didn't celebrate Christmas(no idea what it was)but her family did not make the school stop having Christmas parties, or dances, or Christmas programs that included the songs "silent night, away in a manger, etc". I refuse to give up MY RIGHTS so that someone that is new to this country doesn't feel offended.
