what type of manicure you like and how often you go to have it done?
do you ever try to do it by yourself?

I've never had a manicure. They seem like a waste of time and money.  :dontknow:

I am going to be third one to say I have never had a manicure.

I also think they are a waste of money unless you are getting one
for your wedding.

It probably depends on the type of job you have whether a manicure
is "needed."

I don't get manicures. I keep my nails short and don't wear polish. I never got into having my nails down. Being a nurse for 30 years we were not allowed polish or long nails. Even though I have an office job now, I never changed the habit. I tried once to let them grow, and they kept breaking. Probably had something to do with lifting bales of hay and hoeing. We also have a farm, so long nails are not practical.

I too, have never had a manicure.   Also think it's a bit of a waste of money.

I've never gone and had a manicure but I love to do my own nails.  I like to watch tutorials on youtube and try out new designs.

Have never had a manicure. Do it my self or just let my nails do what they want.

I've had a few manicures - mostly for weddings.  One wedding they had us go to a school for cosmology as they were cheaper, but still nice.  I treated myself to one when I took a cruise years ago as the point of that cruise was to relax and pamper myself after a multi-year, hellish implementation.  I tried doing my own nails a few times when I was younger - but I never really got into it.

I started off working in a lab, and my current job requires a lot of keyboard typing - so long nails are just not practical.  Also, my hands would always feel "heavy" after a manicure and would feel weird whenever I practiced the piano.

I have had a manicure but not sure they are really worth the money!

I, too, have never had a manicure, but I HAVE had a pedicure.  It makes more sense to me to spend money on a pedicure rather than a manicure, because it's harder to paint your toes by yourself.

I do all of my own manicures myself 1-2 times a week (depending on how much the polish ends up chipping...or how bored I get with the color/design.)
I do a lot of nail art and design, so I like bright colors and patterns on my nails. I do a lot of a technique called "water marbilng" which is slightly time consuming and messy, but the looks is unlike anything I've ever seen with nails. Right now, I have a water marble design in black and pink. Tomorrow, I will be doing my nails again and I've already decided on pink with white polka dots. :)
Don't be afraid to be creative, ladies!

I've only had a manicure done once... I was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding and she treated the bridal party to them.  Normally I just do my own at home every few weeks... my favorite look is a french manicure.

I don’t have the time nor interest to indulge myself with feminine manicure (nail art, fake nails, nail polish, etc). I just do it myself by making sure my nails are clean with quick trims and filing them afterward. I usually have them done under 5 minutes of my time.
