They don't mean it.  They say it because it's what they think you want to hear so you will stick around and they can have their cake and eat it too.

WOW!!! thats deep--maybe some people dont know LOVE is an action.. as in some poeople have not been shown LOVE so .. some people dont know how to show LOVE. either way - LOVE is as LOVE does... my Motto :2 thine own self B true... :thumbsup:

Sadly, men and women will lie about being in love. Its not always their fault. Some of them don't know what love is, so they can't be expected to understand or express it. Others, however, have more nefarious plans and will abuse the word/idea of love just to get what they want or to please someone else. It all comes down to trust and if this guy tells you he loves you yet avoids you, I'm sorry, but he doesn't love you. I would say: move on and find someone worthy of you.
