I've seen a few folks have over $25 mark but never cashed out. Is this indicative of a problem?  ???

No, they are just trying to get a bigger cashout. I have been on this site since Feb. 2010 and have cashed out 11 times. You do not have to cash out at $25, but you do need to cash out before your offers start expiring and you lose the money (180 days).

They could be trying to gain as much as they can before the end of the month before cashing out. Since all payments are sent out on the same date, a lot of people wait until the 30th to cash out, once they've hit their minimum.

Others might have sat on completed offers too long and they expired. If you wait more than 180 days, you can't cash out on that offer, though the offers amount will still be counted on your banner as completed.

Others might not have gotten $15 worth of completed offers. So what you're seeing is a lot of bonus money (like from referrals).

But those are just my guesses.

I belong to a couple of other GPT Reward Programs and I always wait also. Instead of cashing out as soon as I hit the threshold, I wait until the last day before payments are sent out. That you don't have to wait for a lot of the $ you make. If you cash out as soon as you hit $25, that will be all you receive. Everything after cashing out, you won't get until payments are sent the next time.
For example, Fusion Cash send out Payments around the 20th of each month, the month after request, if approved.
So, instead of cashing out as soon as you hit $25, wait until the last day of the month.
Because if you don't wait, everything you earned between the dates of: The day you requested and the last day of the month, you won't receive until next time.
If you request $25 on let's say the 19th of the month,
You won't receive what you earned from the 19th to the last day of the month.
But if you wait until the last day of the month and request, you can get everything in your balance.
(Your check, paypal, or direct deposit is going to be sent out on the same day no matter when you request)
Which is around the 20th of the following month of the request.
By waiting, you just get the money you made between those dates quicker.

I have a different point of view on this. I prefer to give myself some insurance that I will be able to cash out each and every month so I cash out as soon as my pending cash out is paid to me. That's usually around the 20th of the month as it is for most of us so it gives me a cushion of about 10 extra days, from the 20th to the 30th or 31st, to build up a few dollars in my account before the first of the month. That way, if the daily surveys aren't crediting much or if my time to spend on FC is limited for personal reasons that month, I give myself a better chance of reaching the $15 in offers and the $25 minimum before time runs out and I have to wait another whole month to get paid. This will be especially helpful for the month of February, since it only has 28 or 29 days.

Although by cashing out right away, you're that much closer to your next cashout.... Everyone has their own preference. I tend to base it on how close to the end of the month I am; if I'm a week or so away from the end, then I'll just wait, but if it's at the beginning of the month, I'm more apt to cashout and use the rest of that month to get me closer to my next cashout. Also, if there is a great offer that I want credit for (ie something worth a few dollars instead of the cents from PTC and the like) I'll cashout before completing that offer so as to get a quick boost to my next cashout.

As to the original question, I'm guessing that if you see someone with a very large balance over the $25 is due to them having to wait out the $15 threshold. This is esp. true for some of the more experienced members that have a lot of referrals... Those bonuses could easily out-pace their offer earnings. For people like that, the $15 offer threshold is always the bottle-neck for them, so they are more likely to cashout immediately as soon as they can so that they can start working on the next $15 offer-threshold.

It does seem to be a matter of personal preference. Had I realized this sooner I might have cashed out the first time a little closer to the $25 mark and allowed the rest to roll to the next month as I missed my $25 by about $1 for the second time. Since I missed it I am letting it roll for a moment and will probably cash out now around the 27 or 28th  just to start getting a jump on Dec. I guess for me it is a matter of trying things out until I see what works and fits best for the way I participate. It would be like finding that pair of shoes that are comfortable for you I suppose. Take care.

I'm waiting because even though I have over $25 I don't have $15 in offers yet.  I'm close and I'll probably be cashing out before the first of the year.
Have a great day!

You don't have to cash out at $25.00 you can let it build up.  One time I cashed out at 31.00, but you don't want to lose your money so go on and cash out at $25.00 ;)

I usually wait until close to the end of the month to cash out. I don't cashout every month anyway, so I don't need to worry about getting a jump start on next month's cashout. Only if I am going to lose some earnings, I try to cashout before then.
