I never make 8 oz bottles for my baby, only 4 oz just in case she doesn't finish it within that 2 hour period I don't waste as much.  Also, if she's hungry and I think she will fall asleep during the feeding session, I only make her a 2 oz bottle because she sleeps for about an hour and a half which means whatever she doesn't eat I have to throw out.  The 2 oz bottle never runs out before she falls asleep.  Formula is expensive so why waste?
