What do you like in your omelet?
« on: November 09, 2011, 11:20:20 am »
If I make one at home, I will usually mix up the eggs, cooked sausage and shredded cheese.  If I have some msurooms, I will put them in, along with a little green pepper.  I know someone who does the egg and meat and then puts strips of cheese on top as it is finished.  You can buy already cooked sausage crumbles and they work great in an omelet or on a homemade pizza.

I have never had one with tomato sauce, or salsa sauce.  That does sound interesting.

Veggies, veggies, and more veggies.  I love tomatoes, peppers, spinach, mushrooms, and onions in my omelets, along with cheddar cheese.  Then, I like to top it with a dollop of sour cream and a little salsa.

Whatever I have in the veggie drawer, cheese, sausage or maybe some taco flavored meat (salsa if I'm going for taco flavors), maybe a little sour cream.  I love a nice big omelet for dinner.

i'm a newbie when it comes to spinach, but
i've been including it in my omelets ever since
i tried it! it has to be the frozen kind though.

i usually throw in mushrooms, onions, tomatoes,
green peps, shredded cheese, and once in awhile
i'll throw some bacon bits on top of it. it makes
such a colorful plate! lol.
[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

I like eggs, cheese, onions, peppers, sausage, tomatoes, and a littler cilantro. There are a lot of places that won't make them special so I have to settle for what's on the menu. Oh, yes, all of this has to be topped off with hot sauce.
