Why make the bed

My theory is usually "You are only going to mess it up later" so why make it.

My boyfriend takes naps in the afternoon before work so even if I make it he messes it up again.

It's usually made, mostly because it's a water bed and the bottom is ALWAYS made, so a few seconds to pull the top up is no big deal and it keeps the heat in better.

the only time my bed is made..is when i take the sheets off and remake the bed. my dog is normally on the bed and it will get messed up no matter what

Maybe you need a new dog? Our little Chihuahua roots down into our warm waterbed and you have a hard time knowing she's there unless she moves, YES EVEN WHEN IT'S MADE!

Pretty much, the only time I make the bed is when I wash the sheets and blankets.

The only good reason I see for making it is to make the overall room look nice and also it makes it easier to study on your bed and stuff like that. But for the most part I don't make mine either. To say the least my mom is not always the happiest with me

Depends on my mood, sometimes I make it and sometimes I don't.  I like a made bed to get into every night but I get lazy at times.

I think it looks better made than it does not made, so I make it up as soon as I stand up!

I sometimes make my bed when I'm going to sleep, that is if the sheets and blankets feel too uncomfortable. Otherwise, I just leave the bed undone when I wake up. Uncivilized!

I don't make my bed. I do usually have my daughter do it though. Mainly because she sleeps with so many stuffed animals, they get lost in all the blankets.

I'm really caught in between on bed making.  I used to think it was just a waste of time and never did.  My husband makes his side everyday so I usually follow suit when I get up later.  I now think that my sons should make their beds because the room does look tidier.  Such a simple thing to "declutter" your brain and room.  It only takes a couple of seconds so it really isn't a waste of time.
