Christmas Decorations
« on: November 08, 2011, 09:47:57 am »
When do you start decorating for Christmas?  We usually do the weekend after Thanksgiving.  But we start listening to Christmas music right after Halloween.

Tradition in our house is to get the tree the day after Thanksgiving, then decorate on the weekend. I love the people who leave them up till Valentines day! My Mom left the tree up one year till Valentines Day and we hung our cards on it!

A day or so after Thanksgiving. The grandkids can hardly wait.

Just depends on when we feel like it. I can vary to after Thanksgiving to the first week of December. Technically I have my Christmas decoration up all year round. I'm a big lover of the Peanuts and I have that little Christmas tree that was in the show up in my room.

I usually decorate within a few days after Thanksgiving.  Usually end up procrastinating on the outdoor decorations, though.  hehe

My family tradition has always been the tree is decorated the day after Thanksgiving and comes down the day after New Year's Day! I can't wait!

I already see Christmas decorations in the stores and to me that's just too early. Each year they are putting them out earlier and earlier. The merchants have to make their money ASAP.

Since it is just my husband and I we usually don't decorate until about the first weekend in December.  I love Christmas but without kids around it isn't as exciting as in years past.  I do have a 1 year old grandson now but i very rarely get to see him  :'(  Hope that maybe I will get to spend more time with him in the future.

We don't start decorating till after Thanksgiving.

But my fiance and I won't be decorating this year; we're moving to a new apartment on the 29th, and since no family is coming to our home for Christmas, there's no point in decorating when we're going to be busy packing everything up.

I usually don't put my tree up till around Dec 15th.  I do decorate with snowmen around the 1st of Dec.  The snowmen stay up till after the first of the year, but the tree comes down right after Christmas

I like keeping the fall decorations up until a bit after thanksgiving. Usually Christmas sneaks up on me because there are so many holidays in a row.
