I'll answer the first question: yes. I'm not really sure what your other questions mean.

Neither do I. What does it mean, to me that is just a good question.

I would say intelligence is your ability to retain knowledge and access it when needed. It can also take different forms: wit is a social form of intelligence of thinking on the spot. One could also have a lot of knowledge about something physical like dance or trade skills and being able to use that knowledge in unique situations. One could have knowledge of visual nature and have an easy time recalling visual memories and relating them to new situations. All in all there are many types of intelligence but the basic idea is using knowledge in unique situations and applying it.

As to where intelligence comes from I think there are several factors: Genetics, Disabilities, Environment, Having needs met,etc..
In order for someone to be intelligent they first need to have their basic needs met (food water shelter). I believe it is also important to have some stability and love with your friends and/or family. (emotional issues and trauma can hinder intellectual development). Once these needs are met then some intellectual development can take place sorting and organizing the pathways of the brain to form connections. However, I'm not sure how one becomes a prodigy or genius level intellect and I am sure there are a lot more factors at play but this is a general idea of how intelligence can develop.

Not everyone can know everything.  But what you know makes you intelligent in your own right.

True, that's why intelligence is not what you already know but, your capacity to know more than you did, (learn, reason, remember).
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

You didn't spell "intelligence" right the second time.   :confused1:

In my opinion, intelligence is a combination of being "book smart" AND "life smart".

Intelligence:  The more I know the stupider I realize I am.  When some one says they are stupid, I know then just how really smart they are. When some one acts intelligent and boasts of it, I realize how stupid they are.

In other words they don't know that they really don't know but think they do proving just how stupid they really are.

So, I am proud to realize just how stupid I am.   Have fun ya'll

Where does it come from?

It has been posited to be an emergent phenomenon arising from complex systems theory.

What do they mean when they say etheric?

It may have been a Theosophist concept of a nonphysical 'spiritual' or 'astral' "body".  This conception was envisioned by them as an animating 'life force' and not equivalent to the "soul".  There is evidence that the Theosophists got this idea from Aegyptian concepts of the "soul", which had eight to nine different aspects in combination.

In any case, "etheric" stems from the hypothetical matrix of 'ether'.
