College Football
« on: November 04, 2011, 11:02:14 am »
I recently read an article that college football was going to be making some changes on increasing the payment for students.  Any college football fan out there?  if so do you beleive this will stop agents and other sources within the Universities in nreaking these Rules.  I think the system is broken and the wrong people are being penalized.

Any thoughts? :dontknow:

Colleges make a fortune off of their sports. While there are athletes who do finish their degree and go on in that field, I think that a lot of those student-athletes are there to win games and make the college money. As far as paying the student-athletes will they pay the athletes in ALL sports or just the ones that bring in the most money? It's a slippery slope, but in the end people are still going to tune in and go to the games. It might wind up raising ticket prices. There's always unintended consequences in these things.
