potty training infants?

I recently read on-line where an actress was already potty training her 5mo old child!  I couldn't believe it.  The baby was actually going to the bathroom when she put him over the toilet.  I personally think that is rushing the baby to grow up to quickly.  This is just my opinion, I mean if it works for her then great job! I am just curious what others think about this.

I only think it's rushing the child if the mother is intolerant of the child needing a diaper.  It sounds like she's making an effort to teach her child to be independent which could be healthy for that baby...in the long...run.
