What was your favorite toy as a child?

I had this teddy bear called Teddy Rudskin I might have the spelling wrong. He was my favorite.One day my mom's friend came over and plopped his big behind in the chair without looking and broke it. I cried my eyes out.Come to think of it he shouldv'e replaced it the jerk.

I had a doll called Chatty Cathy.  It was wonderful, till my sister threw her in the bath tub and she quit talking.

Mine was the Lassie dog and monkey that I received when I was five. I still have the monkey. The Lassie dog was destroyed by two of my brothers. They played tug of war with it one day. So it was good-bye Lassie. I was broken hearted over that.

The earliest favorite I can remember was around age 4 or so and was a large wooden spool that once held cables or wires used on tugs/barges.  It was larger than I was and to me it was many things but most often a fighter plane of some kind.

tonka trucks were my all time favorite! i will have those in the hospital if i have a boy for him to play with right out of the womb!

My favorite toy as a child was Barbie and only because she had different careers, cars, clothes, pets, houses, furniture. You name it she had it.

I had a toy movie projector with a reel to reel cowboy movie in it.  You had to thread the film into the projector just right to make it work.  I thought that was the coolest thing ever.  I just remember after watching it successfully a few times, it quit working and I spent hours trying to figure out how to make it work again.
