What do you think of Carson Palmer becoming the new QB of the Raiders? Cincinnatians are excited about the draft picks, and turning the page, for sure!

I think Carson Palmer will be a Great asset to the Raiders Organization!! Especially with Campbell getting hurt this prior week!! He'll be a good element have them to have!! The Bengals just are preparing for next year there season is pretty much at a lost & they are looking to rebuild!!! Great Move wit both parties

Thanks for the quick reply... but how do you reckon? We're 4-2. We won 4 games total last year. LOL

Ithink that it is a great trade for both teams, but the Raiders having to give them 2 1st round picks! is kind of alot

hope he does a good job for them cost alot to get him but Raiders needed a quarterback and not many were available.

I'm kind of hoping he doesn't do too well right off the bat cause my poor Chiefs are playing the Raiders this Sunday and they need all the help they can get

I read about that, yeah. Wasn't there another QB, but he was scheduled for back surgery?

I wonder about that... surely Carson would need to have more time to practice with the team before they put him in as the regular QB? That said, the general consensus around here is that he's washed up.

It is going to be hard for him to jump in and get things going. Their chance at having a great year went down alot. Might be better then last year though. Haha
The losses will start stacking up now.

I can't believe the Raiders forfeited a first and second rd draft pick for Carson Palmer. He is nothing more than a "decent" quarterback at best.  He has been about average for a few years since his injury.  Does anyone believe it is a good deal from the Raiders perspective?

I just don't think Palmer is a very good QB. Look at how much better the Bengals are doing this year compared to the seasons he played with them. I think it was a bad move on the Raiders part.

I would tend to agree with you, but none of us will really know until he plays. The Raiders had better hope that Palmer doesn't injure himself again, or it'll be more passing with his left hand...  :sad1:

I personally don't know if it was a good deal or not. Its better to have a decent QB than not having one at all. I just hope the Raiders will make it to the playoffs if nothing else this year. I'm getting tired of watching the Raiders not making it to the playoffs lately. I will always be a Raiders fan even if they don't make it this year :)

That's true, but I wonder how it makes your two backup QBs feel that the Raiders did this. What if Carson doesn't pan out? Will the backups be enthusiastic about being second choice?

I think I saw that Palmer won't be starting this week. It will be interesting to see if the backup does well enough for the Raiders to not even need Palmer.
