I definately agree with you. If people were more concious of what they are feeding their children they would not be so lazy and would prepare food at home instead of buying fast food all the time. I work from 10 am until 6:30 pm 5 days a week and get home at about 7:15 pm and I still prepare food for my children. Fast food I buy every other weekend.

Yes, I agree. Home cooked meals always brings families together and sitting together for atleast one meal a day helps build happy memories in kids minds. Moreover home cooked meals do not have artificial preservatives and chemicals in them. People should start feeding children more home cooked healthy meals to fight childhood obesity.

Fat and calories are important but do not forget sodium. If you want a shock, check the amount of sodium (salt) you consume each day. Fast food and canned foods and processed foods are loaded. Check the back of the McDonald's placemat for the numbers. Salt will get you if you don't watch it.

I think even if you eat fast food and still be active with your body, like exercising instead of being lazy then you won't be fat.
I'm a fast food girl, exercise is a part of my routine and I never gain weight.

Not all food in fast food places contain fats.  You can get salads at most places now, plus if you don't want the fats eat at home where you can control the fats in your food

The fact that unhealthy items like fast food are cheaper than meals with fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, or lean meats doesn't help.  (Combined with the whole "What is this outside you speak of?" issue.)

I agree that the lack of home cook foods using good, organic ingredients are the biggest problem.  With many people's lives it is becoming increasing difficult to cook their own meals between their own and their children's schedule.  Overall, the key is eliminating any processed items with preservatives.  Preservatives are meant to keep food from breaking down.  The problem is your body can't break them down efficiently either.  Stick with lean meats and natural items such as fruits, veggies, whole grains, etc.

FAST FOOD SHOULD BE A ONCE IN A WHILE THING, IT SHOULDN'T BE CONSUMED SEVERAL DAYS A WEEK.  MY KIDS ATE MCDONALDS SOMETIMES WHEN THEY WERE LITTLE, BUT THEY NEVER WERE FAT, THEY PLAYED SPORTS AND GOT PLENTY OF HEALTHY FOODS ALSO.  MODERATION IS THE KEY TO EVERYTHING,  DRINKING, SMOKING GAMBLING, EATING CANDY, AND TAKE OUT.
